Dr. Roberto Bilbao is a postdoctoral researcher focused on the predictability of large-scale ocean dynamics and its impact on the continents and the impact of volcanic eruptions on the climate. His work at BSC has involved the production and evaluation of the CMIP6 version of the EC-Earth climate model decadal predictions, which contribute to the Decadal Climate Prediction Project (DCPP), and on the impact of volcanic eruptions on decadal predictions. Within CONFESS Dr. Bilbao leads work package 2 and will be involved in investigating the effect of volcanic aerosols on the seasonal and decadal predictions.
