Dr Lauriane Batté

Lauriane Batté is head of the seasonal climate prediction research team at CNRM since 2019. Her research areas include ensemble generation strategies, sources of predictability and prediction skill over the Northern Hemisphere midlatitudes and West Africa. She has been involved as a researcher or principal scientist in several European and French national projects, and was appointed member of the Working Group on Subseasonal to Interannual Predictions (WGSIP) in 2019. Her contribution in CONFESS will focus on WP3 which she co-leads with Tim Stockdale, to evaluate the impact of vegetation and land-cover variability in seasonal predictions and derive recommendations for future operational systems.
