Dr. Etienne Tourigny is a postdoctoral researcher with a strong multidisciplinary background, having studied physics, computer science, atmospheric science and biosphere-atmosphere interactions. Dr. Tourigny is developing a new research line on seasonal to decadal predictions of the global carbon cycle, actively contributing to the development of the Carbon-Cycle version of the EC-Earth ESM for CMIP6 and other projects. In the CONFESS project, Dr. Tourigny will be mainly involved in the scientific coordination of the biomass burning empirical model, in collaboration with Dr. Gonzalez.
